What are the continuing education requirements for physical therapy in Arizona?

Similarly to most US states, Arizona State mandates continuing education requirements for licensed Physical Therapists and PTAs.

An Arizona licensed physical therapist needs to earn 20 contact hours of continuing competence and a certified physical therapist assistant needs to earn 10 contact hours of continuing competence for each two (2) year compliance period to be eligible for license/certificate renewal.

The current continuing competence requirement in Arizona will be due on August 31, 2024.

The contact hours may not be carried over from one compliance period to another.
